Welcome!
Welcome to the Alumnae/i page of the E-Prologue! This is a new adventure we’re trying this year as we try to connect with current PTS students. Council is a group of 15 PTS graduates, currently all pastors and Christian educators, staffed by the Rev. Carolyn Cranston, director of alumnae/i and church relations. We meet four times a year to, among other things, plan Alumnae/i Days in the spring and run the Phonathon in the fall. (You’ll hear more about those later!) This page will feature a variety of things monthly throughout the school year. We hope that when you read this page, you will learn a little, laugh a little, and be encouraged a lot.

UPDATED! Pittsburgh Seminary’s Alumnae/i Council has asked recently ordained alum Laura Strauss to journal her way through her first year as a pastor. In the coming months, she will share stories about her first wedding, first funeral, first session meeting, and other significant “firsts” in ministry. This month she shares reflections on her ordination.
