Ecumenical Training Event on Catechumenate

The Office of Theology and Worship of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) invites you to attend an ecumenical training event for the ancient way of passing on the faith to new converts called the catechumenate.  The North American Association for the Catechumenate is offering scholarships to seminarians who want to attend one of four regional events, but you’ll need to apply early. Check out this proven ancient way of calling and educating disciples at http://www.catechumenate.org/. Your ministry will be glad you did.

Love and All that Jazz - A Benefit Concert

Hope Academy of Music and the Arts presents "Love and All that Jazz," a benefit concert featuring Kelley Hunt and band. “Ashing” Big Questions

East Liberty Presbyterian Church (116 S. Highland Ave.) will host its Ash Wednesday Service Wed., Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Session Room. The evening includes a Taize service and time for examining Lent. For what are you preparing? Where is the Lord in that? Did Jesus have to die? Come for an evening of sung prayer and big questions.

The Joys and Struggles of the Practice of Contemplation

First Friday at First Church

Drumming builds community and releases tension. Join First United Methodist Church of Pittsburgh (5401 Centre Ave., Shadyside) Fri., March 2 at 7:00 p.m. when Tom Petterson, the young adult leader, teaches various rhythms, calls and responses, games, and other playful adventures in rhythm. Two-Day Workshop Features Bonnie Thurston

The Rev. Music in a Great Space, the concert series at Shadyside Presbyterian Church (5121 Westminster Pl.), welcomes organist Mark A.
